The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) have identified certain work activities to be High Risk and therefore require particular attention to the assessment of risk, implementation of suitable controls and competent management arrangements to be in place when engaging in such work; Confined Spaces and Working at Height are included in those High Risk activities and have specific regulations in place.

Our Authorised Person / Management Courses are designed to give delegates the requisite knowledge to be able to perform the duties of an Authorised Person in accordance with current regulations and company procedures such as MoD JSP 375, SNHS/NHS HTMs, Serco, Babcock, EMCOR, EQUANS, VIVO, Amey, MITIE etc or similar procedures to ensure robust safe systems are implemented and maintained.

HTM00 – The focus of Health Technical Memorandum guidance remains on healthcare-specific elements of standards, policies and up-to-date established best practice with Healthcare providers having a duty of care to ensure that appropriate governance arrangements are in place and are managed effectively – England / Wales & NI; Whilst there is no specific HMT for Working at Height activities, Appendix B: Legal requirements identifies the requirement to follow The Work at Height Regulations 2005 and for Confined Space activities, Section 1 Policy and regulatory identifies the requirement to follow the Confined Space Regulations.
