HS05: 2 Day Skilled Climber (MoD) Course - Open Course
Purpose of the course
This 2 day classroom and practical based course is designed to provide 14 hours of classroom and practical instruction with assessment so that delegates understand the hierarchy of working at height controls and can identify potential risks and hazards associated with accessing and working on masts, towers or similar structures (Restricted High Places) either inside or outside the protected area whilst using either temporary or permanently installed safety devices.
On completion of the course, delegates should be able to identify what risks are present when accessing and working on masts, towers or similar structures, ensure suitable control measures are in place, select and use appropriate equipment and have adequate emergency arrangements in place prior to any work being carried out to satisfy the WaH Regulations 2005 and the MoD Chapter 7 safety Rule Book.
