HS03: 1 Day Rooftop Worker (Safety & Access) Course - Open Course

Purpose of the course

The 1 day Rooftop Worker - Safety & Access classroom and practical based course is designed to support the safety of those individuals who access and work on flat roofs and provides a framework to support consistency and relevance in training provision and assessment of competence.

The course recognises the underpinning knowledge and skills required to climb fixed ladders, access flat roof tops, use personal fall protection equipment, work safely whilst on the roof top as well as rescue considerations.

The course covers the minimum training and assessment required for those individuals whose roles require them to work safely on flat roof tops and incorporates the relevant requirements of HSE legislation. This scheme is designed and available for use by all industries.

Suspension syncope awareness
Selecting appropriate anchor points
Edge protection systems
Multiple-choice test paper

Practical
Set up site (drop zone)
Pre-use checks of equipment & structure
Correct & safe use of Double Lanyard & Work Positioning
Correct & safe use of Fall Arrest System & Fall Arrest Block
Correct & safe use of Work Restraint System
Lifting and lowering kit
Duration and Certification
One day (09:00-17:00)

6 delegates maximum per course

Morsafe Limited E- certificates (valid for 3 years)

EUSR Registration and virtual card (valid for 3 years). This course is approved by EUSR and an additional fee is required for EUSR Registration which is to be paid at the time of booking the course

EUSR registrations - Delegates who are already registered with EUSR must provide their ID numbers at course registration

First time registrants must provide a email address, digital passport photo (.jpg format) and mobile phone number when booking or at course registration

To access the EUSR virtual cards you will need to download the EUSR ‘Vircarda ’ app on your mobile
phone
Course requirements and prerequisites
Delegates must have a good command of the English language

Delegates must be aged 18 or over

Successful completion of this course will be accepted by Arqiva, Cellnex, MBNL, CTIL, EE, Vodafone, Telefonica, BT, Network Rail and other MATs group member sites under the approved scheme

Delegates will require confirmation of medical fitness or complete self-certification

Delegates will require footwear and clothing to suit the course and weather conditions

Climbing equipment will be provided
